Building Inspector

Qualifications

* PA Department of Labor & Industry Certifications (Please provide us with your state license number)

* At least one year experience as a building inspector and/or 10 years experience in the construction field

* Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

* Ability to work with the public in a friendly manner

* Proficient knowledge of the PA Uniform Construction Codes including the adopted  ICC Building Codes

* Good time management, communication skills and problem solving skills

Duties Include:

* Completing inspections for building, energy, electrical, plumbing and mechanical as they are scheduled on a daily basis.

* Ability to answer building code and law related questions as they arise on a project.

* Ability to notify individuals and contractors with a written list of violations in a professional manner.

* Learning our operational procedures and efficiently utilizing them on a daily basis.
